Stainless Valve Company utilizes over 50 years of valve building experience across a variety of industries including the Pulp & Paper, Mining, Petrochemical, Food Processing, and Biomass Energy to continually innovate and improve service performance in the most critical, demanding, and unique applications with the goal of providing our end users piece of mind and exceptional reliability. We aim to afford the maintenance and reliability folks a good night’s sleep.

At Stainless Valve Company we seek out challenging valve applications that are critical to our end users’ operations where second best is not an option. We design application specific valve solutions to address those challenges and ensure ultimate reliability and lower long term cost of ownership.

History

Stainless Valve Company was founded on March 1, 1973. Stainless Valve Company was founded on the development of a custom solution for Batch Digester Blow Down; The Big Blow™ was born. A pulp mill had a severe problem with ball valves on batch digesters. The life of the ball valves was between two weeks and two months. This unacceptable performance of the ball valves led to the development of the Big Blow™, specifically designed to handle the shock waves and general system “violence” in common header batch digester systems.

When Dirk Lindenbeck purchased SVC in 1989, 100% of SVC’s business was the Big Blow™ valve. Dr. Lindenbeck utilized the design as the premise for developing the Stargate-O-Port-Valve. In 1990, Stainless Valve Company joined B+E Manufacturing Company as a sales company for specialty valves and is now a d.b.a of B+E Manufacturing Company.

Since the early 2000s, SVC has diversified across multiple industries, seeking out critical and problematic applications where the Stargate-O-Port-Valve engineered solution provided improved reliability and reduced maintenance, resulting in lower asset cost of ownership for our end users.

As SVC looks to the future, we are continuously expanding our knowledge base, diversifying our reach, and looking to serve as the ultimate engineered valve solution.

Profile

Stainless Valve Company is a specialty valve manufacturer that engineers valve products for the specific applications. We are mainly replacing ball valves with our products, but also knife gate or wedge gate, butterfly, and others for applications where those valves do not perform or fail in a period of less than one year. We produce relatively large size valves between 4″ and 72″ diameter, 150#, 600# 900# and 1500# service, ANSI, JIS and Metric. Most of the valves are automated; pneumatic, hydraulic or electric, but are also available in manually operated versions.

Stainless Valve Company manufactures products in stainless steels, Hastelloy, Inconel, titanium, carbon steel, or any other material available in a plate form.

Stainless Valve Company is not a manufacturer of cheap, off-the-shelf type of valves but gets involved when such valves do not perform or fail prior to one year of service.

Market

After serving pulp manufacturers very successfully for 17 years Stainless Valve Company accepted in 1990 a first order from outside the pulp and paper industry. Since 1995 this trend has intensified and in 2002 for the first time more valves were supplied to the industries other than pulp and paper. In 1990, Stainless Valve Company has also for the first time supplied valves outside the USA, initially to Norway, then Canada, Indonesia, India, Taiwan, Venezuela, Mexico, Switzerland, and since 2003 also France and Australia.

Stainless Valve Company now serves the mining, power generation, chemical, petro-chemical, refineries and food Industries. There are many more application in other industries where Stainless Valve Company valves can offer a distinct advantage over standard ball, knife gate and butterfly valves.
